Coldplay's video featuring Sonam Kapoor, Beyonce is colourful

The much anticipated video of Coldplay's latest track, 'Hymn for The Weekend' from their album ‘A Head Full of Dreams’ is finally unveiled. The music video was in the buzz for the special appearance of Bollywood’s fashion icon Sonam Kapoor. But she has only a blink-and-miss appearance in traditional attire towards the end of the video.

The ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ actress took to Twitter on Friday night and posted a link to the video: “A story to tell my grandkids! I was in a @Coldplay video! Woo hoo! #biggestfan.” Her sister Rhea Kapoor also tweeted, “I may or may not have just styled @sonamkapoor in a @coldplay video! It's out now! Check out #hymnfortheweekend.”

The video has the band’s frontman Chris Martin travelling in a taxi, walking in the lanes of Mumbai amidst people playing Holi. The video is replete with colourful visuals. The American pop sensation Beyonce Knowles also appears and also sings but along with Chris. She is seen as filmstar whose movie ‘Rani’ plays in a theatre where the lead vocalist goes to watch her.

Earlier, Sonam had said that it was a huge honour for her to be a part of the video. Coldplay visited Mumbai in October last year and shot the video. Sonam shot for a day at the Golfa Devi Temple in Worli and the Vasai Fort.

Nonetheless, Coldplay’s latest music video is soulful and all the colour in it makes it a treat for the eyes.
