Chitrangada Singh legally divorced from Jyoti Randhawa
‘Hazaaron Khwaishen Aisi’ actress Chitrangada Singh
and her golfer husband Jyoti Randhawa got legally divorced in a family court
last year on November 11, 2013. The couple separated on the ground of irreconcilable
differences between them.
The couple got married in 2001 and were blessed with a son Zoravar.
The custody of the son was given to the actress mother. Things between them turned
worse when Chitrangada went to Mumbai to pursue her Bollywood dream. She became
so involved in her work that she rarely visited her her husband in Delhi. Jyoti has been leading a lonely life in Delhi.
However, Chitrangada's spokesperson denied
the reports and said the actor's frequent trips to the family court are to
settle "an internal settlement of a property issue".
Chitrangada’s counsel Osama Suhail said, "I can neither deny nor
confirm the divorce. It is a matter of public record."
Chitrangada forayed into Bollywood with Sudhir Mishra's critically acclaimed
film 'Hazaaron Khwaishen Aisi' in 2003 but took a break from acting from 2005
to 2008.
In 2008, she made her comeback with director Onir's romantic-comedy, 'Sorry
Bhai' opposite Sanjay Suri. It was also rumoured then that rumours Chitrangada
was allegedly in a relationship with Sudhir Mishra.
Chitrangada ventured into commercial cinema with Rohit Dhawan's 'Desi Boyz' opposite
Akshay Kumar and has done an item song in Shirish Kunder's 'Joker' last year.
She was last seen in 'I, Me Aur Main' opposite John Abraham.
