Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan team up for a film, a first for the brothers

Telugu superstars and brothers Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan will share the big screen for the first time in director Trivikram Srinivas’ yet-to-be-titled project. Megastar Chiranjeevi recently, made his comeback to films after almost a decade with his 150th film titled ‘Khaidi No 150’. Powerstar Pawan Kalyan, on the other hand, is currently shooting for ‘Katamarayudu’ opposite Shruti Haasan.

Politician-producer T Subbarami Reddy released an official statement to announce about the film the collaboration of the superstar brothers.

"After watching Chiranjeevi in ‘Khaidi No 150’, I felt that I should return to producing movies. Then, I felt that Trivikram will be the best director to make this movie. Pawan Kalyan is also on board. I will be producing this mega movie with the association of another great producer, C Ashwini Dutt," the statement read.

The announcement has caused a lot of excitement among fans of the actors, especially since the relationship between the duo has been a subject of some speculation. Both the brothers are also political rivals, with Chiranjeevi being the founder-leader of Praja Rajyam Party, which was later merged with the Congress, and Pawan Kalyan heading the Jana Sena Party. However, Chiranjeevi has repeatedly said there is no animosity between him and Pawan Kalyan.

Earlier, Pawan Kalyan was expected to be at the audio launch for Chiranjeevi's Khaidi No 150, but had to stay away because of his own film commitments. Reports stated that he later visited Chiranjeevi at his home to congratulate him on the success of his comeback film.
