Chiranjeevi launches son Ram Charan’s next with Sukumar; 1st glimpse released

Telugu megastar-turned-politician Chiranjeevi attended the launch of his superstar son Ram Charan Teja’s upcoming film by director Sukumar in Hyderabad on Monday. The film, tentatively titled ‘RC11’, went on floors after the team held a special Pooja ceremony.

Chiranjeevi sounded the clap board, Ram Charan switched on the camera and director Koratala Siva directed the first shot. The female lead to be cast opposite Charan, was finalised after much consternation by the makers, who finally zeroed in on Samantha Ruth Prabhu. Initially, Malayalam actress Anupama Paramerswaran was also considered for the role.

The movie will be produced under the banner Mythri Movie Makers and will feature veteran actor Jagapathi Babu in a key role. It is said that Sukumar himself has written the story for the film, which is an “interesting” romantic story with the backdrop of a village.

The production house has also released a first glimpse of the movie. It showed a caricature of Ram Charan carrying pots balancing on his shoulders, in the backdrop of a rural setting.
