Priyanka Chopra goes spiritual for new Pepsi ad

Priyanka Chopra has donned a desi avatar for new Pepsi ad. She dons a spiritual look in the ad, she applied excessive make-up with put on red long tikka and sindoor (vermillion mark) on her forehead. She wore a necklace, bangles, applied red nail-polish and hanged a goggles and decked heavily for the Indian Premier League (IPL) special advertisement for Pepsi.

Priyanka is happy with her looks in the new ad.

"I have played a lot of different characters in my films but I haven't played a spiritual diva yet! We had a lot of fun putting together this look. It's extravagant but goes perfectly with the idea," she said in a statement.

Excited about the ad film, she added: "It's cheeky, it's naughty and it captures the crazy kind of fan support for various teams."

The last Pepsi IPL ad saw Priyanka and Ranbir Kapoor in the character of a middle-class working man.

The new Pepsi ad featuring spiritual Priyanka Chopra will go on air on April 18.

PepsiCo India has roped in West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle along with the Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra for its ongoing marketing campaign.

"Pepsi is bringing together one of Pepsi IPL's biggest superstars, Chris Gayle along with Priyanka Chopra for the second edition of the campaign," PepsiCo India said in a statement.

Commenting on the development PepsiCo India Senior Director - Marketing (Colas, Juices & Hydration), Homi Battiwalla said that they hope the ad featuring Gayle and Chopra will take forward the insight of fans' multiple team loyalties.

"We have brought together two of the brightest stars from Bollywood and cricket in this film and are confident that the consumers will enjoy it," he added.
