Celebs spotted at Dara Singh’s funeral

“He is still wearing his famous smile and I want people to see him go that way. He lived like a king, I want him to go like one”, Vindoo Dara Singh said in honor of his father. Iconic wrestler cum actor Dara Singh left the materialistic world on Thursday around 7:30 am. He was battling for his life for quite sometime. He breathed his last at his Juhu bungalow.

He was admitted to Mumbai Kokilabehin hospital in Mumbai for four days and was discharged only Wednesday night after doctors gave their final word. Dara Singh wanted to spend the last few days of his life at his home and it was the decision of the family to take him back home.

Everyone from Bollywood celebs to politicians and huge fans of Rustam-E-Hind paid the He-Man of Bollywood their last respect.   

We spotted outside his bungalow stars like Fardeen Khan, Sajid Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan, Mink, Tabu, Zarine Khan, Rishi Kapoor, Raza Murad, Dolly Bindra and many more arrived at his funeral.

Dara Singh’s body were placed on a large palanquin and was taken at Vile Parle crematorium on a truck following a large procession.

He won many awards for his wrestling excellence.  He retired from wresting in 1983 and entered Bollywood in 1952. ‘Sangdil’ was the first Bollywood movie of Dara Singh. He acted in around 140 films.

He played Hanuman in Ramananda Sagar’s TV series Ramayana and since then kids loves him to call Hanuman.

He was nominated as a Rajya Sabha member in 2003.

Dara Singh might have left us all but his humanity and excellent work will make him immortal.
