Cannes: Aishwarya Rai looks ravishing in red Naeem Khan gown

After glittering the Cannes red carpet in a golden beaded Ali Younes couture on Friday, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan looked ravishing in a red ruffled gown as she came for media interaction on Saturday morning.

The flowy ensemble is the creation of New York-based Indian-American fashion designer Naeem Khan. The Bollywood diva sported red lips and winged eye-liner and left her mane loose in a slick side-parting.

Aishwarya who represents cosmetic giant L’Oreal at the Cannes Film Festival completes 15 years of her red carpet appearance at the prestigious event.

After the press interviews, the L'Oreal Paris team celebrated the 15th year 'Canniversary' of Aishwarya by cutting a cake and presenting her with a bouquet of red roses, on the terrace of Hotel Martinez.

Aishwary’s upcoming film ‘Sarabjit’ will be screened at Cannes tonight. Last year, the actress launched her comeback film ‘Jazbaa’ at the event where a scene from the Sanjay Gupta directorial was showcased.

‘Sarabjit’ is a real story about a sister’s struggle for getting justice for her brother who is wrongly convicted of terrorism and imprisoned in a Pakistani jail.

‘Sarabjit’ team, including director Omung Kumar, Richa Chadda and Jackky Bhagnani, who has turned producer with the film, has left for Cannes to attend the screening.

Director Omung took to Twitter and posted a selfie of them and wrote, “On the way to cannes for the premiere of @SarbjitMovie @Vanita_ok @jackkybhagnani @RichaChadha_ @honeybhagnani.”

Aishwarya, who has been a regular at the amfAR 'Cinema Against AIDS' fundraiser, will skip the charity event this year as she will be busy with ‘Sarabjit’ which is releasing on May 20.

Her L’Oreal co-ambassador Sonam Kapoor, who will walk the red carpet on May 16 and 17, will fill in for her at the function.
