Box-office: ‘Toilet-Ek Prem Katha’ garners 13.10 crore in the opening day


Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Toliet-Ek Prem Katha’ opened with a bang. Opened with average reviews, the film has earned Rs 1.10 crore in the opening day on Friday.

A while ago, trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the film’s box-office number.

"#ToiletEkPremKatha Fri ? 13.10 cr. India biz... Sat and Sun look better... Biz to get big boost on Tue [Independence Day]... #TEPK (sic)."

It is highly speculated that the long weekend, Monday-Janmashthami and Tuesday being Independence Day holiday, the film will see a growth.

Taran further said, "#ToiletEkPremKatha picked up rapidly post noon onwards... Mass circuits have performed the best... Plexes decent/good... #TEPK (sic)."

Highly impressed with the film’s thought, Hollywood star Salma Hayek praised Akshay and the film to the heavens, she wrote,"Good luck to @akshaykumar on @ToiletTheFilm out today! End #OpenDefecation now! No woman should fear going to the toilet! #ToiletEkPremKatha (sic)."
