Box-office: ‘Talaash’ earns 49 crores in the first weekend

Aamir Khan’s Friday release ‘Talaash’ strikes gold at the box-office. Opening with a promising occupancy, the film was not only received good reviews from critics but audience also gave thumps-up to the one and only release of Aamir Khan this year.

Directed by Reema Kagti, ‘Talaash’ did exceptionally well at the box-office on the first weekend. On Sunday morning, the occupancy at the multiplexes was 75% and it jumped up to 85% in the evening and the night shows. In single theatres, the occupancy was low compared to multiplexes but on Saturday it showed 15% more occupancy than Friday.

On Sunday, the film earned 17 crores – 19 crores at the domestic box-office which sum up to 47-49 crores on the first weekend. It is expected that on the 4th day, it may rise to 50 crores.

'Talaash' is an interesting thriller which stars Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee in the pivotal role.
