Box-Office: ‘Hero’ falls flat, registers 35-40% day 1 occupancy

Salman Khan’s production venture ‘Hero’, introducing debutantes Athiya Shetty and Sooraj Pancholi is finally out for the audience to cherish and give their verdict. The film was well promoted out and out by Salman Khan and now it’s time to see whether the debuts actors been able to stand up to the expectation of their mentor and the audience.

As per the early records ‘Hero’ registers opening day occupancy of 35-40% which is just above the average. And it is only because of Salman Khan’s factor, he drove the film on his shoulder and promoted all through. The weekend result is awaited and lots depend on the positive words of mouth.

The success of ‘Hero’ is more important for Sooraj Pancholi, son of Aditya Pancholi and Zarina Wahab and daughter of Suneil and Mana Shetty, Athiya Shetty for their future prospects than Salman Khan. Salman has invested his money but ‘Hero’ will decide Sooraj and Athiya’s future in stardom.

So far ‘Hero’ received negative reviews from the critics. Audience will surely compare ‘Hero’ with the yesteryear blockbuster ‘Hero’, which starred Jackie Shroff and Meenakshi Sheshadri.

Salman Khan has not only invested his money on ‘Hero’ but his energy and time as well. He left no stone unturned to cement the foundation of Athiya and Sooraj. In the past too, he has helped many newcomers to shape their career.

The superstar has arranged a special screening of ‘Hero’ at his Panvel farmhouse, which was attended by Sooraj and Athiya’s parents.

He also appeared in many reality shows with his to kids to promote ‘Hero’.

Directed by Nikhil Advani, ‘Hero’ is the single release this week and for that the film might get some advantage.

Hope, 'Hero' will set a new box-office record and Salman Khan again proved himself box-office charm.
