Box-office Day 1: Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff’s ‘War’ earns Rs 53.35 crore

Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s new release ‘War’ opened with a bang. Though the action oriented movie received rave reviews, it collected big bucks at the ticket counter. On the opening day, the film has garnered a whopping Rs 53.35 crore. 'War' turned out to be Tiger and Hrithik's first biggest opener ever. 

Released on around 4000 screens in three language (Hindi+ Tamil, Telugu), it also features Vaani Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana and Anupriya Goenka in significant roles.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the figures.

Speaking about the film's thunderous performance on day 1, director Siddharth Anand said, "It is truly overwhelming and gratifying to get this kind of love from audiences for our hard work in making War a truly big screen spectacle. YRF’s ‘War’ also defeated Avengers Endgame, which made Rs 53.10 crore on the opening day.
