Box-office: ‘Baaghi 2’ garners 45.50 crore on the second day

There is no stopping for Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani’s latest release ‘Baaghi 2’. The movie continues to rock at the ticket counter on the second day. After a stupendous opening, ‘Baaghi 2’ earned Rs 20.40 crore on the second day, totalling to Rs 45.50 crore.

Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the figures of the second day, “#Baaghi2 is a LOTTERY... Continues to SURPRISE [the trade] and SHOCK [the pessimists] with SENSATIONAL biz on Sat... Proves all calculations and assumptions wrong... Fri Rs 25.10 cr, Sat Rs 20.40 cr. Total: Rs 45.50 cr. India biz,” he wrote in a tweet.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted about the opening day collection of the film, “#Baaghi2 sets the BO on fire.Takes a FANTABULOUS, EARTH SHATTERING START… Emerges the BIGGEST OPENER of 2018 [so far], surpassing Previews + Day 1 biz of #Padmaavat… Fri ? 25.10 cr. India biz… The numbers are an EYE-OPENER!”

The high-octane action drama defeated the first day collection of Sanjay Leela Bhanslai’s ‘Padmaavat’. ‘Padmaavat’ managed to earn 19 crores on day one while ‘Baaghi 2’ made a whopping 25 crore which is unexpected and marvellous.

Trade analyst Girish Johar earlier stated that ‘Baaghi 2’ might create history by crossing the Rs 50 crore mark in the opening weekend itself.

Directed by Ahmed Khan, ‘Baaghi 2’ stars Tiger Shroff, Disha Patani, Manoj Bajpayee, Prateik Babbar, Randeep Hooda and Deepak Dobriyal in pivotal roles.
