Box Office: Alia Bhatt’s ‘Raazi’ mints in Rs 7.5 crore on day one

Alia Bhatt’s ‘Raazi’ not only opened with rave reviews but also garnered good numbers at the box-office. The film has earned Rs 7.5 crore on the opening day and it is expected to grow strong in the coming days. By the opening weekend, ‘Raazi’ is expected to rake in good figures.

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote about the opening day box-office number of ‘Raazi’. “Power of SOLID CONTENT... #Raazi starts Day 1 with a BIG BANG... The EXCEPTIONAL word of mouth should result in a FANTASTIC opening weekend... Fri ? 7.53 cr. India biz.”

Alia Bhatt is highly applauded for her power-packed performance in Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Raazi’. It is touted to be Alia’s best performance till date.

In the film, Alia portrayed the role of an Indian spy who gets married to a Pakistani officer for espionage and passed out information to Indian intelligence agency.

'Raazi' is a true story based on Harinder Sikka’s recently released novel ‘Calling Sehmat' set at the backdrop of 1971 Indo-Pak War.
