First Day Box-office: Ajay Devgn’s ‘Baadshaho’ earns Rs 12.03 crores


Milan Luthria’s multi-starrer film, ‘Baadshaho’ is off to a great start. On the opening day, the film has garnered Rs 12.03 crores. Opened with average reviews, the film has earned Rs 12.03 crore in the opening day.

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted about the bumper opening day collection, “#Baadshaho starts on a SOLID NOTE… Fri ? 12.03 cr. India biz… Biz should only grow stronger on Sat and Sun.”

‘Baadshaho’ was released on 3242 screens worldwide. Of which 2800 screens are in India and 442 are abroad. The film faces competition with same day release Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar’s ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’.

Set during the 70’s emergency, the film stars Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Ileana D’Cruz, Vidyut Jammwal and Esha Gupta in the pivotal role. Emraan and Ajay are coming together on the big screen for the third time in ‘Baadshaho’ after ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai’ and ‘Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji’. 

 “Ajay Devgn’s film will definitely be the highest earner this week with a double digit opening on the first day. Baadshaho is expected to earn around Rs 10 crore or maybe more on Friday,” trade analyst Girish Johar had said about the film.
