Box-office: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's ‘Jazbaa’ off to a slow start


Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s comeback movie ‘Jazbaa’, directed by Sanjay Gupta off to a slow start. On the opening Friday, the film registered an occupancy of 20% which is below average. The morning shows had a dull start and the evening shows might be little better. Opened with rave reviews and now ‘Jazbaa’ performance is totally depend on positive words of mouth.

Though the film starts off slow, it will definitely draw audience to the theatres considering that it is Ash’s comeback film after a gap of five years. The film has no competitor and it will definitely grow in the coming days. The film’s first look was premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and it was well received.

In the film, Ash plays a lawyer and Irrfan Khan a suspended cop. The film talks about Aishwarya’s hardship as how she overcomes all the hurdles to reunite with her kidnapped daughter.

The film was well promoted by Aishwarya and Irrfan Khan in various reality shows and event. Made on a budget of 35.5 crore, ‘Jazbaa’ also stars Shabana Azmi in the pivotal role.

Since it has Aishwarya in the lead role, ‘Jazbaa’ will surely saw a bounce in the coming days.
