Box-office: Aditya, Shraddha's ‘Ok Jaanu’ off to a decent start


Shraddha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapoor starrer ‘Ok Jaanu’ hit the screen today and the film started on a decent note. According to Koimoi report, ‘Ok Jaanu’ witnessed an opening day occupancy of 25% in the morning shows. In comparison to single theatres, the film opened well in multiplexes in metros.

The film is expected to show jump on Saturday and Sunday. It was released over 1400 screens. ‘Ok Jaanu’ will not face much competition from the same day release Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Shweta Tripathi starrer ‘Haraamkhor’ but it will face tough competition from Deepika Padukone’s Hollywood debut  ‘xXx: Return Of Xander Cage’ with Vin Diesel, which is released today evening in the country.

‘Ok Jaanu', a the Hindi remake of Mani Ratnam's Tamil romantic flick, ‘Ok Kanmani’ brings Aditya and Shraddha for the second time after ‘Aashiqui 2’.

‘Ok Jaanu’ is a millennial love story! Adi & Tara move to Mumbai to pursue their dreams. A chance meeting sparks off a heady, no strings attached romance until their careers pull them apart.

Produced by Mani Ratnam and Karan Johar and directed by Shaad Ali, 'Ok Jaanu' stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Shraddha Kapoor, Naseeruddin Shah and Leela Samson in the lead roles. 

The music of the film is given by A.R.Rahman.
