Bollywood stars gear up for Diwali celebration

Diwali is one of the biggest festivals in India and people from all walks of life try to enjoy it as they can. In the film industry, festivals are always celebrated with much enthusiasm. It is an opportunity to bond with friends and colleagues from the industry and also gives rise to newer equations among the stars.

Amitabh Bachchan is known to throw lavish Diwali bashes every year and this year too is not going to be any exception. Last year’s Diwali party at the Bachchan’s home became a galaxy of stars with almost every major star attending the party. With Abhishek’s film ‘Happy New Year’ coming out on 24th October, it is going to be a little extra special occasion for the Bachchan family this year.

Noted Film and TV producer Ekta Kapoor threw a Diwali party on Wednesday. Many notable film and TV personalities were present there. Veteran actor Randhir Kapoor, his brother Rishi Kapoor and wife Neetu Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Tabu, Sonakshi Sinha, Shraddha Kapoor, author Chetan Bhagat and many more well-known faces attended the party. 

Bollywood’s ‘perfectionist’ Aamir Khan who recently returned from Cannes, will be organizing a grand party at his home in Bandra. As per sources, the list of invited guests will include A-listers like Hrithik Roshan, Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Karan Johar, Deepika Padukone and more. Salman Khan who is known to celebrate every major festival across all religious lines, will also be partying with his family members.

A host of top Bollywood celebs has also shared their Diwali plans with the media. Deepika Padukone has said, "I spend Diwali with my family every year and this year again we'll all be together. Its a festival I really look forward to."

Priyanka Chopra said, "For many years now, on most of the important festivals, I have usually been working. But recently, I decided that I need to make time to celebrate life and what it has given me. So, this year, while I will be shooting for Bajirao Mastani, I will take time out to spend with my family and closest friends. I'm leaving the planning to them... I will just arrive and partake in the festivities."

Shahid Kapoor who is basking in the glory of the tremendous praise he received for ‘Haider’, is in UK now for shooting. But he will be joined for celebrations by father Pankaj Kapoor and sister Sana as they are also there shooting for the same film.
