Bollywood reacts to Salman Khan’s 5 years jail sentence

Salman Khan's jail sentence came as a big shock for Bollywood celebrities. They expressed their shock on their social media account.

Here's what they tweeted:-

Kabir Khan tweeted: "Feeling very sad that Salman Khan has been sentenced to 5 years in prison for allegedly shooting a black buck. 5 years! The length of sentence seems excessive and must be appealed. @BeingSalmanKhan has all my sympathy and support. #WeLoveYouSalmanKhan"

Ashish Chowdhry, who is a close friend of the Khan, said, “I woke up to this shocking news. And whatever our personal feelings are about the judgement, law of the land has to be respected and I know that Salman and his family do so like all of us. Salman is a great human being and though he may have done few mistakes in the past, talking in terms of this case which he has got convicted for 5 years after a 20-year trial, it is harsh! But none the less I know best things happen to best people and I have a strong feeling that after the bail plea tomorrow, we will hear something good! I only wish strength to him and the family."

"We are happy for us but we are disappointed for #SalmanKhan. Justice has not been given properly in this case. I am feeling bad for him," Samir Soni, actor and husband of actress Neelam, told ANI.

Popular RJ and Bigg Boss 8 contestant Pritam Singh told, "I am really sad to hear about the judgment. We all know that hunting is still practiced in the northern states. It’s a common fact but people get away with it. Salman sir is paying the price of being a popular celebrity. I am not saying I don’t believe in the court of law but it’s disturbing to see how after 20 years, they decided to tag him guilty. Why didn’t it happen then and there? A lot of cases run for years and vanish in thin air. It is really unfortunate that he has to pay the brunt of his stardom."

Anil Sharma tweeted, "It is a very disturbing news for me. I was expecting he would get bail and now I am praying he gets bail tomorrow. I don't have any right to comment on the decision of the court. That's supreme, but as someone who has worked with Salman and holds great respect for his father Salim Khan, I can only pray that Salman gets bail. Justice has always prevailed and it will prevail even now."

Arjun Rampal posted on Twitter: "The law takes its course. Can’t argue it. But at this point in time I just feel helpless and my heart goes out to @BeingSalmanKhan and his family. Reason, cause the last thing @BeingSalmanKhan is, is a criminal.I feel this is too harsh. I do hope he gets the relief he deserves."

Hiten Tejwani told, "I have nothing much to say on the matter but I love him and may God bless Salman sir."

"I feel bad. He should be given relief. He has done a lot of humanitarian work," Jaya Bachchan told ANI.

Filmmaker Subhash Ghai tweeted: "I am extremely shocked to hear @BeingSalmanKhan being convicted by session court but also having full trust in indian judiciary which has many other doors to appeal for final justice whatsoever. Since He is most loved person by industry N people for his human reasons too."

Sona Mohapatra, "So, what new inane defence will Madhu Kishwar sprout now? Nafisa Ali? RJ Rishi Kannan? Will daddy say sorry on his behalf? What will the suck ups in the industry do? When's bail? When's the next block buster release? Dabangg'concert' tour dates? Big Boss? Charity drives?," Sona Mohapatra said via Twitter.

T-Series' Priya Gupta posted on Twitter, "I know for a fact that @BeingSalmanKhan has not killed the #BlackBuck. I am 100 percent sure he will be declared innocent finally. #BlackBuckPoachingCase."

‘Bigg Boss season 10’ winner Manveer Gurjar tweeted, "What justice! Rape and murder victims keep on waiting for justice but a man like Salman Khan who does so much of charity and pays tax has been stuck in a 20-year-old case."
