Bollywood celebs who left us at an young age

Extremely talented, famous and highly appreciated celebrities died young. They had a very small life, but within that span their creation left a lasting impact.

Some of the Bollywood celebrities who died young yet left a lasting impression are :

Divya Bharti (February 25, 1974 - April 5, 1993):

One of the best looking actresses of all time that Bollywood can ever boast off died at the age of just 19. After acting in few South Indian Films she debuted in hindi films with the blockbuster film “Vishwatma”. She suddenly fell off from her apartment and died, when her career was reaching new heights. Her fans and well wisher till date believe that her death was not suicide but a conspiracy of her husband Sajid Nadiawala.  Though the police failed to acquire any concrete proof against her husband and he is still free.

Guru Dutt (July 9, 1925 - October 10, 1964):

One of the greatest actor- director-producer India can ever boast about was definitely for the talent named, Guru Dutt. The man who gifted few of the finest films the industry has ever seen. Indian Cnema Classics like, 'Pyaasa', 'Kaagaz Ke Phool', 'Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam', 'Chaudhvin ka Chand', and 'Mr. and Mrs 55'. Research says that he had suffered a very unhappy married life with singer Geeta Dutt and his relationship with actress Waheeda Rehman caused more trouble. In the year 1964, he was discovered lying dead in his apartment. The reason for his death was sleeping pills and overdose of alcohol. But till date his death is shrouded with mystery as it is not clear whether it was a suicide or an accidental overdose.

Meena Kumari (1 August 1932 - 31 March 1972):

During 30 long years of her film career, she acted in iconic films like, 'Pakeeezah', 'Baiju Bawra', 'Do Bigha Zamin', 'Bandish', 'Bandhan', 'Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam', 'Kohinoor' etc. She suffered a tragic personal life.  After three weeks of release of her film 'Pakeezah' she falls seriously ill and died of liver cirrhosis soon after.

Smita Patil (October 17, 1955 - December 13, 1986):

One of the greatest actress of the Indian cinema. She has twice received the National Award, a a Filmfare Award, and Padma Shri.  After her relation with actor Raj Babbar she died during her childbirth due to birth related complications in the hospital. She was just 31 when she expired. Her son is Prateek Babbar.

Sanjeev Kumar (July 9, 1938 - 6 November 6, 1985):

The winner of two National Film Awards, and highly praised for his characters like 'Thakur' in 'Sholay' died at a very young age when he was still a bachelor. He was highly appreciated for his acting during the late 70s and early 80s era. It is said that he died due to excessive drinking.

They all lived short lives, but suffered indecent death. The reason of their death mostly remained shrouded in mystery. People talk a lot about them and their personal lives. But the talents and beauty that are gone can never be replaced.
