Bollywood actor Mahesh Anand found dead at his residence


Bollywood actor Mahesh Anand was found dead at his Mumbai flat in Andheri. His body was decomposed. He was staying alone at his flat.

According to police, his wife who stays in Russia, has been informed and she has left for India to perform Mahesh Anand’s last rites.

A police officer said, "On Saturday when the maid reached the flat, she did not get any response and kept ringing the bell. After getting no response, the Versova police was informed, with the help of the fire brigade, they opened the door. The TV in the house was on."

Anand enacted the role of a villain in 80s and 90s. The actor has appeared alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt and Govinda in films like Shahenshah (1988), Thanedaar (1990), Vishwatma (1992), Gumrah (1993), Khuddar (1994), Coolie No 1 (1995) and Vijeta (1996).

He had drinking problem and was facing major financial crisis.

He was last seen in ‘Rangeela Raja’ alongside Govinda. In a Facebook post, Anand wrote, "I'm happy after 18 years i had onne movie released today,,,,rangeela raja,,,,,,,, i am just therefor 6 minutes in the end,,, hope you all will welcome me back. (sic)".
