Blast during Jodhaa Akbar show at Cineraj Theater

The film has become a subject matter of hatred for the Rajputs. The latest is that a minor explosion occurred during the screening of the film inside Panvel's Cineraj Theater in Maharashtra. The bomb explored at 2:30 pm during the afternoon show. Immediately after the incident, bomb expert rushed to the spot and discovered some traces of ammonium nitrate from the blast.  

Fortunately, no one was reported to be injured. On seeing the spot, one can easily make out that the intension of the blast was not to take life of any people but just to warm them. The incident was the outcome of the anger of the protestor who does not want Jodhaa Akbar to be viewed by the mass. Soon after the incident,
commissioner of Mumbai police, Ramrao Wagh rushed to the spot and inspects the situation and confirms that the explosion was not major and everything is under control.

The film has created much furor in Rajasthan as well as Gurgaon, Indore and Patna. According to the Rajputs, Ashutosh Gowariker has hurt their sentiments. They too feel that the filmmaker has humiliated them by showing wrong facts and has exploited Indian history.
