Blackbuck poaching case: Salman Khan, sister Alvira reach Jodhpur

Salman Khan reached Jodhpur yesterday and today he is likely to appear before the sessions court for the hearing on the suspension of his sentence in the blackbuck poaching case. The superstar was not alone, he was accompanied by his sister Alvira and friend Baba Siddique. Salman was clicked with his bodyguard Shera.

A month ago, Salman Khan was convicted in 1998 blackbuck poaching case. He was sentenced to five years in jail and imposed a fine of Rs 10,000. After conviction, the actor was taken to Jodhpur central jail. Other co-accused Neelam Kothari, Tabu and Saif Ali Khan was acquitted in the case.

Salman’s lawyers move the High Court for bail plea and after spending two nights in jail, the 53-year-old actor was granted bail by the court.

The blackbuck poaching case dates back to 1998 when Salman Khan and his team went to Jodhpur for the shooting of Sooraj Barjatiya’s ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’. Salman Khan and his team went hunting in Jodhpur where he killed two blackbucks in September, 1998 in Kankani village.
