Bigg Boss contestant Swami Om booked for attempting to rape woman


‘Bigg Boss 10’ infamous contestant Swami Om has been booked for allegedly trying to rape a woman in Delhi. A case has been registered in this regard in central Delhi’s IP Estate police station.

A 30-year-old woman filed a complaint alleging that the self-styled godman and his associate Santosh Anand touched her inappropriately and ripped off her clothes on February 7 when she had gone to Rajghat Power house for some work.

“The woman alleged that the men then took her to their room in an ashram near ITO, where they attempted to rape her. She said that she begged them to let her go, but they abused her and threatened to ruin her image,” Hindustan Times quoted a police officer as saying.

“Following the woman’s complaint, we have registered a case of molestation and voluntarily causing hurt against Swami Om and his associate. Teams have been formed to arrest them. Raids are being conducted and the arrest will soon be made. We are also verifying the allegations made by the woman. The victim will record her statement on Monday before the magistrate,” a senior police officer told the daily.

Police also added that both the parties had dispute in the past and Swami Om and his associate had trashed the woman’s husband. She alleged that they threatened her of dire consequence. They fled the spot after she screamed for help.

This isn’t the first time that a police case has been filed against Swami Om. He is already accused of breaking into his brother’s shop and stealing bicycles, spare-parts and important documents. He made emergency exits during his stint in ‘Bigg Boss 10’ for this case, before he was finally thrown out for his disgusting behaviour. He is also allegedly involved in cases of arms hoarding and extortion.
