Bigg Boss 9: Priya Malik of ‘Big Brother’ fame enters as wild card

Soon after introducing fashion designer Kanwljeet Singh as the third wild card entrant, Bigg Boss brings in another wild card contestant from abroad into the show.

Australia based-Priya Malik enters ‘Bigg Boss 9’ as the fourth wild card contestant. Priya was a part of Australian version of controversial reality show ‘Big Brother’ in 2014. Priya who became popular as ‘Posh Spice’ in Australia is expected to spice up the show which the earlier wild card players Rishabh and Puneet failed to do.

The news was revealed via a Twitter handle. “#BB9 #BiggBoss9 Exclusive : The Next Wild Card Entry in Bigg Boss 9 is #PriyaMalik who was in Big Brother 2014,” revealed a tweet by Reality Post.

The 28-year-old is a school teacher in Adelaide. She originally hails from Dehradun. Priya has been staying in Australia for the past seven years.

According to reports, during her stint at ‘Big Brother Australia’ she was bullied and faced racial slurs which even degenerated into death-threats post her eviction from the show. She was trolled on social media and was apparently targeted for her Indian ethnicity.

Speaking to media persons before entering the show, she said that her experience at the international show will be an “advantage” for her.

“I have been on "Big Brother" (Australia), which is a similar format, if not identical. I think that puts me at an advantage," she told IANS.

She also said the Rimi doesn’t deserve to be in ‘Bigg Boss’ as it is insulting to sign a show and not be a part of it. While admitting that she dislikes most of the contestants in the house, she said she likes Rochelle and Digangana who she called a “little statue.”

She said Mandana and Kishwer were pouular but they do a lot of inhuman things. She called Keith a sensible person and sees him as her competition, if he comes back on the show.
