Bigg Boss 9: ‘Finalist’ Priya Malik evicted before finale

Wild card contestant Priya Malik who became the first finalist of ‘Bigg Boss 9’ was evicted after she received lesser votes than other nominated contestants. The former ‘Big Brother Australia’ finalist went out in style with Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur who ‘Airlifted’ her out of the house in a chopper.

The actors visited the Bigg Boss house to promote their upcoming film ‘Airlift’.

Priya became the finalist after ex-Bigg Boss contestant Imam Siddiqui selected her and Rishabh as the deserving candidates to be in the finale, basing on a series of tasks through the week. Priya was then unanimously chosen as the first finalist by the rest of the housemates. However, she was already nominated and unsafe from eliminations. She was evicted after she received lesser votes than Rishabh, Keith Rochelle and Mandana.

Earlier in the house Akshay played a game of rescue with the housemates. Each of the boys was made to rescue the girls by crossing some obstacles. They also dance to a romantic track from the movie ‘Airlift’. Host Salman also grilled the contestants and discussed the week’s tasks and the performance.   

Later, Akshay and Nimrat joined Salman on stage where Akshay asks the ‘Dabangg’ star about his marriage and children. Salman also speaks about Akshay’s discipline and says he is one of the most versatile actors of Bollywood today. The three of them also played a game of dumb-charade where Salman and Akshay have fun at the cost of Nimrat by guessing wrong names on purpose.

They also give a fun task to the housemates to dress up in Indian attire. The boys had to drape sarees while the girls had to tie a turban and wear a dhoti. After the task, Nimrat chose Rochelle as having the best get-up.
