Bigg Boss 10: Yuvraj Singh’s mom to file defamation suit against Akanksha

Bigg Boss 10’ commoner contestant may not have grabbed much attention inside the house, but post her eviction, she is surely creating ripples with her shocking revelations.

Before entering the Bigg Boss house, she had revealed that she is the estranged wife of cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s brother Zoravar, and blamed her mother-in-law Shabnam Singh for her failed marriage and accused her of ill-treating her.

In her post-eviction interviews, Akanksha has come out with more shocking disclosures that Yuvraj used to smoke pot with Zoravar and her when she was briefly married to the latter. She also revealed that she was forced to have sex, perhaps because her mom-in-law intended to “tie her down by getting her impregnated.”

Yuvraj’s mother has now decided to take legal action against her estranged daughter-in-law Akanksha for maligning and defaming the cricketer and the family in her interviews.

In an interview to Firstpost, Shabnam said that she will be taking “lawful recourse.” Confirming this, her lawyer Daman Bir Sobti said, “Yes, we will be filing a civil suit for damages and a criminal complaint for defamation. We will take video footage from the Bigg Boss house for further proof. She (Akansha) has also been giving a lot of interviews post-eviction. Shabnam will be coming to Chandigarh to discuss the matter with me.”

“Shabnam is currently busy with Yuvraj’s wedding, but a lot of people have been calling her over this matter and we have to act fast,” he added.

Denying the allegations of Yuvraj smoking pot, his mother further said, “My son has given his blood, sweat and tears to the nation, this is insulting to him.” She added that Yuvraj doesn’t want to get into all these and they don’t want to give Akanksha any publicity.

Akanksha and Zoravar were married for only four months after which she returned to her parents’ home. The couple has been estranged for nearly two-and-half years and are yet to obtain a divorce legally.
