Bigg Boss 10: Om Ji accused of theft, hoarding arms, using obscene photos

Bigg Boss 10’ contestant Swami Om Ji Maharaj, who entered the house as a commoner, seems to be the most controversial participant of the reality show. Soon after the show premiered earlier this week, a video of the self-styled godman slapping and abusing a woman went viral. Now, it is revealed that Om Ji is an alleged criminal and has many court cases.

Om Ji is accused of breaking into his brother Pramodh Jha’s shop and stealing bicycles, spare parts and other important documents. He was issued four bailable warrants in the theft case and was supposed to appear before a Delhi court on October 14, two days before entering the Bigg Boss house. However, since he failed to appear, a non-bailable warrant has been issued against him which could land him in jail, if he fails to appear in court on November 8, the next date of hearing. The arrest warrant has gone viral on the internet.

According to an investigation report of Delhi Police, Om Ji is said to be involved in seven cases under the Arms Act and TADA (Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act). As per the report, he was exposed by Defence Colony officials, who found arms and ammunition in his possession.

Om Ji was also found to be in possession of obscene photographs of women, which he allegedly used to extort money. He has been accused of making false complaints against his neighbours, relatives and government officials. His brothers, sisters and other relatives have also complained against him in Lodhi Colony police station in Delhi.

Om Ji is also known as Vinodanand Jha in the smaller circles and has six brothers and four sisters.
