Bigg Boss 10: Monalisa’s beau Vikrant to marry her on the show
After Sara Khan’s marriage with her then boyfriend Ali Merchant on ‘Bigg Boss 4’, the popular reality show is going to witness another wedding inside the house in the ongoing season 10.
Reportedly, Bhojpuri actress Monalisa may tie the knot with her long-time boyfriend Vikrant Singh Rajpoot on the show. The housemates will wake up to the song ‘Saajanji Ghar Aaye’ from ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ hinting about Monalisa and Vikrant’s wedding, according to a report in Business of Cinema.
The report stated that Vikrant, along with his mother and sister, will enter the house on Monday’s episode and formally propose to his ladylove. If she agrees and things go well, the couple will exchange vows on Tuesday, (Jan 17) inside the house.
Apparently, Vikrant decided to marry Mona on national television to put an end to rumours about her proximity with co-contestant Manu Panjabi. Talking to The Indian Express, Vikrant said, “It is important for me, to the world to know that we are together and we are getting married. It will be a tight slap on the face of those who have spread rumours about Mona and indulged in backbiting.”
“A lot has been said about her equation with Manu Punjabi and it is a fact that such a thing maligns everyone involved. Thing have been said about me too and I want to show that I am not confused and I am sure about having a future with Mona,” he added.
Vikrant also thanked Bigg Boss for giving him the opportunity to get married on the show. He said, “Mona had said a lot of times on the show, about marrying me and even I had said that once she is out, we will tie the knot. But then the Bigg Boss people were kind enough to allow us to do this on the show itself. Nothing can be better than this. I am very excited.”
However, given that Sara and Ali broke-up soon after season four ended, saying that they were paid to get married on TV, Vikrant and Mona’s nuptials could also be seen in the same light as being ‘staged’. Addressing the doubt, Vikrant said that he and Mona were going to tie the knot after the show anyway. It is just that the wedding is happening earlier, and they don’t need to prove the sanctity of their relationship to cynics.
Vikrant had earlier also entered the show for 10 minutes as a part of a task where family members and friends of the contestants got to meet them. At that time, Vikrant was seemingly disturbed with Mona’s closeness with Manu.
