Big B thanks Chris Gayle for gifting him golden bat

Bollywood Megastar Amitabh Bachchan was bowled over when he was presented an autographed bat by West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle. The Caribbean batting sensation who plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League declared his love for Big B’s movies and style.

Chris Gayle wrote about his gift to the legendary actor with a picture of Big B holding the golden bat. “Proud to gift my Spartan bat to a legend @srbachchan, love his movies and his style, legend. Thanks @spartancricket," the Jamaican-born cricketer tweeted.

The 73-year-old actor was thrilled to learn that he had a fan Gayle. The Bollywood 'Shahenshah' took to Twitter to thank him and said that he too was a great fan of the batsman. “Mr. Chris Gayle... What an honour... I never knew you would know me... So humbled. We are all great fans of yours!” he tweeted.

The ‘Piku’ actor was also amazed at the reach of Hindi cinema and said it was a “revelation” to him. “Chris Gayle .. !! I mean CHRIS GAYLE a fan of Hindi movies and presents me a golden bat autographed !!?? I mean this is revelation,” Amitabh Bachchan posted on the micro-blogging site.

After Big B thanked him, Gayle tweeted, "See you soon in India." The cricketer will be in India for the ICC Twenty20 World Cup to be held in March-April.

Amitabh Bachchan also expressed his joy on Facebook. "Chris Gayle! The phenomenal cricketer from WI sent me a bat autographed... Amazing... I never knew he was such a fan of our films... humbled and so overwhelmed," he wrote on his Facebook wall.

The actor will be next seen in a cameo role in R. Balki’s ‘Ki and Ka’ starring Arjun Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
