Big B launches website for tsunami victims

<a href='//' title='Amitabh Bachchan' class='article_display_tag' data-id='amitabh-bachchan' id='article_tag_data_amitabh-bachchan' style='display: inline-block;'><strong>Amitabh Bachchan</strong></a>Mega star Amitabh Bachchan and his actor son Abhishek launched a website to raise funds for tsunami victims at the Film City here on Tuesday.
The `HELP Telethon Concert website', that could be accessed at www.Helptelethon.Org, is an initiative of the Film and Television Producers' Guild, multiple channel and leading event management companies, Wizcraft International Entertainment, G S Entertainment and Cineyug.
The website would enable net users to donate to the
Prime Minister's National Relief Fund.

The auction pages of the site, which were inaugurated by Abhishek, would enable net users to bid for film memorabilia or interaction with stars. Some of the auction items include a meal with the Bachchans, a bike ride with actor John Abraham, a gym session with actor Sunjay Dutt.

The highest bidder could hear the mega star announce the bidding and payment would be remitted to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund.

Launching the website, Amitabh said "the Indian film industry has always come forward to support social causes or people in need. So, if someone would like to have a meal with me and Abhishek, all you need to do is to log on to the site and bid for it and we will be delighted to share a meal with a such a generous person."

Speaking on the occasion, Abhishek said "help to tsunami victims is now just a click away. The victims need help now to rebuild their houses and lives. Together we can make a difference, epecially by logging into the site and bidding for the auction items listed."
