Big B, Dharmendra to launch Hema Malini’s maiden music video

Bollywood dream girl Hema Malini is one of the most successful and talented actresses and is also a trained Bharatnatyam dancer. But only a few people might be aware that the veteran actress is a brilliant singer too. And the talented artiste is all set to bring out her maiden music video.

Hema Malini might be mired in controversy over bagging a prime land in Andheri for her dance institute at a throwaway price, but amidst all this, the actress is gearing up to launch her own music album.

According to a report in Midday, during a chat with singer-turned-politican Babul Supriyo, last year the BJP parliamentarian spoke about her interest in singing and having recorded a couple of song decades ago. The singer-composer convinced her to sing a duet with him and she agreed.

The song titled ‘Aji Suniye To Zara’ is set to be released later this month. Shabbir Ahmed has penned the lyrics while Supriyo has rendered the music. The video to be shot in Goa will feature television actors along with Hema.

The report added that the lead cast of Bollywood classic ‘Sholay’ might reunite for the launch ceremony. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra will join Hema to release the music video of her first Hindi track.

It is said that there is a line in the song ‘Aji Suniye To Zara’ says ‘Big B se leke Paaji’, and considering this, the ‘Seeta Aur Geeta’ actress invited her ‘Sholay’ co-stars for the event.

Not many know that during her heydays Hema recorded two Bengali songs, 'Gun Gun Gun' and 'Kande Re Mon' with Kishore Kumar as part of an album released on the occasion of Durga Puja.
