Big B congratulates Leonardo DiCaprio for Oscar win

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter to congratulate his ‘The Great Gatsby’ co-star Leonardo DiCaprio on his first Oscar win for 'The Revenant', calling the honour a "much deserved" one.

Big B tweeted#"FINALLY..! Leonardo gets Best Actor at Oscars .. ! A considerate co star and a thorough gentleman! Congratulations Leonardo for Oscars... A much deserved recognition...," Bachchan posted on Twitter.

Along with the tweet, Big B also posted few pictures of him and DiCaprio during the time of 'The Great Gatsby'. Bachchan made his Hollywood debut with a cameo in the Baz Luhrmann-directed romantic drama in 2013.

Bollywood celebrities Farhan Akhtar, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditi Rao Hydari also congratulate Hollywood superstar Leonardo DiCaprio for the big win.

"... And all that can be said about @LeoDiCaprio winning is.. Finally!!!," Akhtar posted on Twitter.

Sonakshi heaped praise on DiCaprio's acceptance speech, where the 41-year-old actor discussed climate change and its impact on planet. "Thank you @LeoDiCaprio for bringing attention to climate change on the #Oscars stage. I think they should give you another one JUST for that."

Actress Diana Penty tweeted, "FINALLY #LeonardoDiCaprio wins what he has long deserved. Woohoo!! #Oscars #2016 #TheRevenant @LeoDiCaprio."

"Hero" star Athiya Shetty posted, "Finally. #LeonardoDiCaprio #Oscars."
