Big B confuses his wax statue at Madame Tussauds, Delhi for his photograph
World famous Madame Tussauds, which is set to inaugurate its museum in New Delhi in June, unveiled the wax figures of Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, American pop singer Lady Gaga and Anna Maria ‘Marie’ Tussaud, the founder of the wax museum chain, at a curtain-raiser on Thursday.
Big B’s wax statue was clad in a blue bandh gala and black trousers and was a perfect replica of the legendary actor. As soon as the covers were taken off, visitor flocked near the wax model to capture it with their cameras and mobile phones.
The ‘Shenshah’ of Bollywood happened to come across a picture of his wax figure in Madame Taussads, Delhi on social media. The image was so perfect that Amitabh Bachchan initially mistook to be a photograph of him.
Being an active social media user, Amitabh Bachchan took micro-blogging site Twiitter and re-tweeted a close-up picture of the wax replica and wrote, "This is a close up of the Madam Tussauds image in wax in Delhi ... gosh I thought it was my photograph."
