Bhansali wants Ranveer to keep away from Deepika?

After break-up rumours, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone appeared together hand-in-hand at the Ambanis’ bash, followed by their PDA at an awards event in Dubai. But going by latest news, the lovebirds may not be spotted together in a long time to come.

Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali has allegedly given a no-public-appearances directive to Ranveer, which the submissive actor has happily agreed to oblige, a report in Deccan Chronicle stated.

The instruction means that Ranveer and Deepika won’t be making any public appearances together and ‘Bajirao’ will not be able to shower love on his ‘Mastani’ in public. Ranveer will also not be seen performing at Bollywood events for the time being.

Both Ranveer and Deepika have teamed up with the maverick director for the third time for his magnum opus ‘Padmavati’. The duo has previously shared screens in Bhansali’s ‘Goliyon Ki Rasleela - Ram Leela’ and ‘Bajirao Mastani’.

Deepika will play the titular role of the queen of Chittor, while Shahid Kapoor play her on-screen husband Raja Rawal Ratan Singh. Ranveer will be seen in the negative role of Delhi Sultan Alauddin Khilji, who was obsessed with Padmavati and attacked her kingdom to claim her.

Reportedly, Ranveer has been reading Indian history books and also studying about the behavioural patterns of dictators like Hitler in order to understand the psyche of authoritative personalities, to prepare himself for the role.

‘Padmavati’ which also stars Aditi Rao Haydari, is already on floors and is set to hit screens on November 17, 2017.

Meanwhile, Ranveer’s film ‘Befikre’ directed by Aditya Chopra is slated to release on December 9.
