‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ Trailer: Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor spark on-screen

As said yesterday, the trailer of ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ was released today and from the trailer, it can be concluded that the film based on the social issue of electricity theft and big fraud in the electricity bill is going to be engrossing.

Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor and Divyendu Sharma are great buddies. Things are going great until Divyendu was billed a whopping electricity bill of Rs 55 lakh. Unable to tackle the situation and the fear of the consequence if not able to pay the bill. The ‘Pyar ke Panchnama’ actor commits suicide.

Shahid decided to fight against the injustice done to his friend and therefore he dragged the electricity company to court. In court, he gets into argument with Yami Gautam, who too essays the role of a lawyer.

Shahid had shared the poster of 'Meter Chalu Batti Gul' with the caption, “It's current! It's light! It's shocking! #BattiGulMeterChalu #BGMCPoster Trailer out on Friday at 12:30 [email protected] @YamiGautam @ShraddhaKapoor #divyendusharma#bhushankumar”.
