Box-Office: ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ earns 88 crores in the opening weekend


Salman Khan’s Eid release ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ roared at the box-office. The superstar again proved lucky this Eid. His Eid gift was highly liked by his fans and they are showering immense love on the film. The film has garnered 27.25 Crores on Friday and 36.50 Crores on Saturday and on Sunday it earned around Rs 24.25 crores, summing the three days box-office collection to 88 Crores.

Trade analyst Tarand Adarsh tweeted about the two days box-office collections of Bajrangi Bhaijaan saying, “#BajrangiBhaijaan Fri 27.25 cr, Sat 36.50 cr [Eid]. Total: ? 63.75 cr. FANTABULOUS… Should surpass #Kick opening weekend biz: ? 83.83 cr”.

However, the film failed to surpass the magnum opus ‘Baahubali’ collection which minted around 60 crores on the first day and crossed the 300 crore mark in nine days.

Starring Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in key roles, the film revolves around a Bajrangi Bhakt, played by Salman Khan who risks his life to transport a little girl, who is dumb and mute Harshaali Malhotra to her native land Pakistani. The girl gets lost in India.
