‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ likely to cross Rs 100 cr in 3 days

<PK>Salman Khan’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ has set the box office cash registers ringing with a total collection of Rs 63.75 crores. While the film grossed Rs 27.25 crores on the opening day, it collected another 36.50 crores on Saturday. It was expected to touch the 100 crore mark by the end of Sunday.

Although the film’s business is not able to cross S. S. Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali – The Beginning’, The Kabir Khan directorial has broken the records held by Salman’s previous film ‘Kick’ and Aamir Khan’s ‘PK’ which were the highest grosser in 2014.

Bollywood trade analyst Tarand Adarsh wrote on Twitter about the movie’s collections. “#BajrangiBhaijaan Fri 27.25 cr, Sat 36.50 cr [Eid]. Total: ? 63.75 cr. FANTABULOUS… Should surpass #Kick opening weekend biz: ? 83.83 cr,” he posted.

The heart-touching and thought provoking movie has been receiving amazing reviews. Salman Khan plays the lead role of the innocent Pawan. Harshali Malhotra who played the little girl Munni has been receiving a lot of appreciation for her performance in ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’.

Although ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ could not beat the S. S. Rajamouli epic which crossed the Rs 100 crore mark within two days, the Salman Khan flick was expected to perform even better on Sunday and if it collects Rs 37 crore or more than that, the film will enter Rs 100 crore club within three days.
