‘Baaghi’ storms box-office with Rs 55.69 cr in 6 days

Shraddha Kapoor and Tiger Shroff starrer ‘Baaghi’ takes box-office by storm. The film has entered 50 crore club in just five days and on the sixth days, it rakes in Rs 55.69 crore at the box-office.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the figures on Thursday.

‘Baaghi’ directed by Sabbir Khan has become the third highest opener of 2016 after Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Fan’ which made Rs 19.20 crore on the opening day while Akshay Kumar’s Airlift grossed Rs 12.35 crore on day one.

The film received mixed reviews from critics but audience in large number thronged theatres to watch the pairing of Tiger and Shraddha.

Shraddha Kapoor is ecstatic with the film’s response. Kapoor told IANS, "The best compliments that I got for Baaghi were the kind of reactions I got from the single-screen theatres where people were whistling and shouting for certain dialogues. It was great as they were enjoying the film and that's a huge compliment when people clap for your work."

She added, "We actually went to Chandan (a single-screen theatre in Juhu, Mumbai) to get the feel of it and it was really nice as the audience was so happy. We got news from inside that they were screaming, shouting and whistling inside."

Ever since ‘Baaghi’ hit the theatres on April 29, it has been going strong.
