Ayushmann Khuranna, Radhika Apte pair-up for ‘Andhadhun’

Ayushmann Khuranna and Radhika Apte are teaming up for a project named, ‘Andhadhun’, to be directed by Sriram Raghavan. On Tuesday, the ‘Vicky Donor’ actor took to Twitter to share the name of his new film.

Sharing the video, Ayushmann tweeted, “Oh it’s not easy when you have to match up to Sriram Raghavan’s string of badass film titles but we all gave it a try! Presenting #AndhaDhun! http://bit.ly/AndhadhunTitle-Teaser … @andhadhunfilm @radhika_apte #Tabu #SriramRaghavan @Viacom18Movies @Matchboxpix @ZeeMusicCompany.”

Ayushmaan and Radhika came up with many interesting titles for the film but finally, they settled with ‘Andhadhun’.

The first look of the film will be unveiled on Wednesday. Talking about the film’s title, Sriram Raghavan told Mumbai Mirror, “We are punning with the title as Ayushmann plays a blind pianist. It goes well with the story too. We had a lot of options in our mind, including Shoot The Piano Player, but the producers weren’t keen on using an English title. I know the real word is ‘Andhadhund’, but the ‘D’ is silent for us.”

“It’s actually closer to Johnny Gaddaar (his 2007 neo-noir thriller) with its quirky characters and a strong plot revolving around Ayushmann, Tabu and Radhika. Amit Trivedi has done the music, and this is the first time my characters will be lisping in the film,” he further told the tabloid.
