Atif Aslam stops concert to rescue girl from eve teasers

There has been widespread outrage over the New Year eve mass molestation in Bangalore, and now popular Pakistani singer Atif Aslam has shown what a real man should do when he sees a woman being molested.

The ‘Tere Sang Yaara’ singer, who was performing at a concert in Karachi, stopped midway to rescue a female fan who was being harassed by some hooligans. The incident took place at the Karachi Eat 2017 concert on Saturday night, Geo news reported.

The atmosphere was electrifying when Atif took to the stage after 1 am, belting out hit numbers. Midway in to the performance, he noticed a bunch of rowdies troubling a girl in the front row. The 33-year-old hit singer motioned his hand asking the musicians to stop playing. He walked up to the edge of the stage and reprimanded them saying, “Tumne kabhi ladki nahi dekhi hai? Tumhari maa-behen bhi ho sakti hai yahaan par (Have you never seen a girl before? Your mother or sister could have been here as well).” He then pulled the girl up on the stage and asked the security personnel to escort her to safety.

A video clip of the incident has been shared on social media and it is going viral. The crowd can be heard cheering after Atif’s chivalrous act. The concert also featured veteran singer Abida Parveen.
