Anushka out of ‘Befikre’; Parineeti, Vaani being considered

Actress Anushka Sharma who made her Bollywood debut with Aditya Chopra’s film ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ has reportedly walked out of the filmmaker’s recently announced directorial venture ‘Befikre’. The makers are considering Parineeti Chopra and Vaani Kapoor to replace the ‘Bombay Velvet’ actress, according to report in Bollywood Life.

For the new venture, it was speculated that ex-flames Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma will be roped in. Fans were expecting to witness the pair’s sizzling on-screen chemistry once again after ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’, but the latest report comes as a disappointment.

However, it is not clear why Anushka will not star in the film. It is said that things did not work out well between Anushka and the director who launched her, and she was shown the door.

According to the report, Aditya’s close associate Maneesh Sharma suggested to cast Parineeti whom he directed in ‘Ladies VS Ricky Bahl. Parineeti had also worked with Ranveer in the film and Saad Ali’s film ‘Kill Dill’. Vaani Kapoor who debuted with ‘Shuddh Desi Romance’ also starring Parineeti, is also being considered by Adi.

However, there has not been any official confirmation in this regard.

On the occasion of his filmmaker father Yash Chopra’s 83rd birth anniversary, Aditya announced that he will be donning the director’s hat after a gap of almost seven years with his new project titled ‘Befikre’. In his 20-year-long career, the Yash Raj Fisms’ head Aditya has directed only three films and all were blockbusters starring Shah Rukh Khan – the cult ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ opposite Kajol, ‘Mohabattein’ opposite Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ opposite Anushka Sharma.
