Behind The Scene: Watch the making of 'Bombay Velvet'

Director Anurag Kashyap’s upcoming release ‘Bombay Velvet’ is set in the 1960s and much effort was given into recreating Bombay of the 60s for this Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma starrer movie. Anurag has provided a glimpse into the making of the period film.

The director’s twitter post revealed how visual effects or VFX were used to bring alive the bygone era. It also showed the making of sets in Sri Lanka, and also some facts about how many people put their efforts into it and what sort of problems they had to face to provide an authentic look of the 60s – the costumes, hairstyles, music etc.

Filmmaker Karan Johar will  make his full-fledged acting debut in this film, after his brief appearance as Shahrukh Khan’s friend in ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’ The film, based on author Gyan Prakash’s book ‘Mumbai Fables’, also stars Kay Kay Menon.

‘Bombay Velvet is slated to be released on May 15.
