Anil Kapoor unveils his wax statue at Madame Tussauds, Singapore

Anil Kapoor has joined the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai, Madhuri Dixit and others to have his wax statue at the world famous Madame Tussauds museum. The 60-year-old actor unveiled his wax replica at the Singapore museum on Thursday.

Anil’s wax replica seated on a chair with arms outstretched (a pose from his film ‘Slumdog Millionaire’), is so lively and accurate that it is difficult to differentiate between the real and wax model. Anil said it was “amazing and humbling” as he took pictures with his wax model and the museum’s team. In one picture, the actor is facing his wax model as if it were his mirror image. In another, he is seen posing like the statue.

The ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ actor shared pictures from the unveiling on Twitter and wrote, “I just had to pose!! It's so cool!! I love it! @MTsSingapore, this is just an amazing & humbling experience! Thank you!”

“Unveiling... Yours truly !! Thank you @MTsSingapore for making me look good in wax! #MadameTussauds… This is a special moment and I'm glad I could share it with you all! #MyTeam #MyFamily !!! Also.. the resemblance is uncanny right?” he wrote in another couple of tweets.

On the work front, Anil is currently working on ‘Mubarakan’, which also stars his real-life nephew Arjun Kapoor as his on-screen nephew. Arjun plays double role in the comedy flick opposite leading ladies Ileana D’Cruz and Athiya Shetty. Directed by Anees Bazmee, ‘Mubarakan’ is set for release on July 28.
