Anil Kapoor to adapt ‘Modern Family’ for Indian TV

After working in the Indian version American thriller series ‘24’, Actor-producer Anil Kapoor is now considering to adapt popular sitcom ‘Modern Family’ for Indian viewers. The actor who forayed to international film with Danny Boyle’s Oscar winning ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, said he could not wait to “recreate the magic” of ‘Modern Family’ for Indian television.

"Exploring the #ModernFamily world. Can't wait to recreate the magic for Indian audiences! @ModernFam @RheaKapoor," the ‘Ram Lakhan’ star posted on his Twitter handle. Anil Kapoor also shared a collage of four pictures from the sets of American series ‘Modern Family’, along with the tweet.

One of the pictures shows his daughter producer Rhea in talks with a woman, while another features his associate with actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson who plays the character of Mitch in the sitcom which airs on ABC channel.

Anil Kapoor, who also featured in the season eight of the American series ‘24’ and lent a voiceover for a character in ‘Family Guy’, has already began his research to adapt the comedy series to Indian sensibilities.

The five-time Emmy Award-winning show ‘Modern Family’ is the story of a family which lives in its own space but are still inseparable. The show is gearing up for its seventh season abroad.

Meanwhile, Anil Kapoor too will be seen in the second season of Indian ‘24’ and he has promised some “exciting things in store” this time and some new cast members.
