Amrita Singh rubbishes reports that Kareena influenced Sara

Amrita Singh, ex-wife of Saif Ali Khan, has reacted to reports that suggested that she was upset with her ‘soutan’ Kareena Kapoor for ‘influencing’ her daughter Sara to sport revealing outfits.

The ‘A Flying Jatt’ actress rubbished them as rumours and said that today’s kids have minds of their own, and she never intended to control her children's lives.

"Aaj kal mere naam ke bahut bill phaade jaa rahen hain (these days, my name is being dragged in unnecessarily). Let me tell you, today’s kids have a mind of their own, and they know how to exercise it. Even if I wanted to tell Sara or my son Ibrahim how to lead their lives—which I don’t—they would not listen to me,” Amrita told the Hindustan Times commenting on the rumours.

She further said, “Luckily, Sara chose to complete her studies before pursuing acting. She attended Columbia University and then devoted attention to Bollywood. What if she had decided to not go to college? What could I do?"

The rumours surfaced after Sara recently attended her step-mom Kareena’s birthday. She grabbed a lot of attention for her bold avatar flaunting her midriff in a white lacy crop top, teamed with ripped jeans.

It was said that Amrita was not at all impressed by Sara’s skin show and blamed Kareen for her daughter’s dare-bare attitude. But with her latest statement, Amrita has shut up the rumour mongers and ended the speculations.

Saif, who has two kids – son Ebrahim and daughter Sara from his first marriage with Amrita, is set to become a father for the third time with his wife Kareena, who is expecting the couple’s first child in December.
