Amitabh, Sridevi team up for ‘Khuda Gawah’ sequel

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan and versatile Sridevi are likely to come together for the sequel of 1992 super-hit film, ‘Khuda Gawah’. Amitabh Bachchan has almost given his nod for the film.

"The script is being written for the sequel. It (film) was one of the most loved films and we thought of bringing it back. We have given a one liner brief idea to Mr Bachchan. We have got a positive feedback from him. Once the script is complete we will meet him again and approach him for this film," producer Manoj Desai told PTI.

"Once Mr Bachchan gives his nod for the sequel we may go and talk to Sridevi as well about the film. There will be other actors also in the film from the younger generation," he said.

Produced by Desai, ‘Khuda Gawah’ starring Amitabh Bachchan and Sridevi in the lead is about an Afghan lord caught between love and revenge.

"We are working on the script so we can't reveal about the story line," he said.

Shot in India and Afghanistan, ‘Khuda Gawah’ was one of the biggest grosser of the year. The film fared well in both Indian and Afghanistan.

If all goes as per plan, the sequel might go on floor next year.

Sridevi who made a grand comeback with Gauri Shinde's 'English Vinglish' has not yet signed any film. She has also showed keen interest for the sequel. She has recently rejected Abhishek Kapoor’s ‘’Fitoor’ for the grey shades in the role. She had a small role with Big B in ‘English Vinglish’.
