Amitabh and Shahrukh dazzle fans at the Toronto Film Festival

Karan Johar is extremely excited that his film Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna has been screened at the 31st Toronto International Film Festival . Both the stars of the film Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan were present at the Toronto Festival to support their film KANK. The red carpet screening of the event was held at Toronto’s Roy Thomson Hall. The venue inside and even around was surrounded with fans shouting and screaming out chants of Amitabh and Shahrukh.
Even the box-office results for the film KANK overseas is phenomenal and has received an enthusiastic response. The hysterical crowds mobbed both their favourite superstars Amitabh and Shahrukh. The crowds mostly included Asians and die-hard bollywood fans who made the stars sign loads of autographs. Director of Kank Karan Johar claimed “It was crazy out here, we had two public screenings and each time the public and press responded to the urban theme with equal gusto. Shahrukh is being mobbed everywhere and as for Amitji chants of ‘Sexy Sam, Sexy Sam’ go up wherever he goes.

Unfortunately though none of the film’s actresses, Rani or Preity were present at the event which was quite a disappointment for many fans. In fact there was no bollywood diva right through the event. Rani was busy shooting for her next film produced by Yash Chopra ‘Tara Rum Pum’ along with Saif Ali Khan in New York, unfortunately though Rani could not make it to Toronto as there was a delay on the part of the organizers in getting a Canadian visa for Rani. Preity on the other hand is also busy shooting in London for her next film Jhoom Barabar Jhoom along with Abhishek Bachchan.

Apart from KANK, John Abraham and Arshad Warsi were also present at the Toronto Festival to promote their forthcoming film Kabul Express. According to sources even Hollywood actor Brad Pitt was present at the venue during the Toronto Film Festival.
