All the tamasha is entertaining: Sunil Grover takes a dig at Kapil Sharma

Kapil Sharma’s all attempts to pacify fellow comedian Sunil Grover has failed, with the latter refusing to shoot for the upcoming episode of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. Sunil has finally opened up on the whole controversy and also revealed his future plans.

Sunil, who plays the characters of Dr Mashoor Gulati and Rinku Devi on the show, had mostly kept quiet on the issue so far. Now, in an apparent jibe at Kapil, he told Bollywood Hungama, “I am very relaxed, very introspective, deep in thought about my future plans…I am just watching all the tamasha that’s going on. It’s very entertaining.”

The controversy started after Kapil physically and verbally abused Sunil abroad a Melbourne-Mumbai flight, when the team was returning from a tour in Australia recently. Kapil reportedly slapped Sunil and hit him with a shoe while hurling expletives in an inebriated state. Kapil later called it a “family matter” in a Facebook post. He also apologised to Sunil, but the latter was in no mood to relent, as it wasn’t the first time that Kapil had allegedly misbehaved with his teammates.

The report further suggested that there is no possibility of a reconciliation between the two comedian-actors. It quoted a close friend of Sunil as saying, “Sunil won’t meet Kapil. Kapil’s regret and apology happened only after his mid-air behaviour was exposed. If no one spoke about it he would have continued in his own way. On numerous occasions, he has insulted Sunil and the other team members. Unforgivably, Sunil and the others overlooked Kapil’s growing highhandedness. Not this time. Kapil needs to know he is wrong. There is no going back.”

The friend added that Sunil is no longer interested in meeting Kapil for any negotiations. “Sunil is neither interested in a meeting with Kapil nor is he physically or emotionally up to it. He is now taking off for an unknown destination with his wife and son for a recuperative holiday.”
