Watch: Alia Bhatt goes crazy in the Dubsmash video

Toeing the lines of contemporaries like Sonakshi Sinha, Priyanka Chopra Ranveer Singh and others, Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt too has taken a fancy to Dubsmash.

Alia has created a video with her friend Akansha Ranjan using Dubsmash, an application for iOS and Anroid phones to create video selfies dubbed with famous sounds. In the video, they mimic a popular dialogue from the ‘Garbage bin’ comic strip by cartoonist Faisal Mohammad.

While Akansha becomes the mother Alia plays the disgruntled boy Guddu. Akansha says, “beta sweater pehno” (wear your sweater), Alia naughtily refuses, “nahi” (no). The video has gone viral.

Earlier, Sonakshi too shared a Dubsmash video mouthing a famous dialogue from her father Shatrughan Sinha’s movie ‘Mere Apne’. Actors Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra made a video by switching their roles from the upcoming film ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’where the play siblings. Ranveer also dubbed one of Anil Kapoor’s dialogues.

With films like ‘2 States’, ‘Highway’, ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ and her debut movie ‘Student of The Year’, the daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt and actress Soni Razdan is making a foothold in Bollywood.  Her upcoming films are Vikas Bahl’s ‘Shandaar’ opposite Shahid Kapoor, and ‘Udta Punjab’ by Abhishek Chaubey.

While ‘Shandaar’ is a film about destination wedding, ‘Udta Punjab’ deals with drug trafficking in interior Punjab, in which Alia plays a drug addict. Shahid Kapoor is also a part of ‘Udta Punjab’.
