Akshay, Shruti promote ‘Gabbar is Back’ at Comedy Nights with Kapil

Bollywood khiladi Akshay Kumar and the beautiful Shruti Haasan were recently spotted at Comedy Nights with Kapil show promoting their upcoming action-packed film ‘Gabbar Is Back’. The duo along with the audience had a hearty laugh. The episode began with ‘Gutthi’ opening a parlor, inaugurated by Gabbar himself.

The show ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’ has undergone a leap lately. The move aims to introduce new flavors and elements of fun to the show reducing the likelihood of monotony and boredom. In the show both Kapil and Akshay exhibited their unparallel effortlessness in entertaining the audience that brought down the house.

Expectedly Akki introduced himself in his unique introductory style to the audience. Taking a cue from it Shruti too, arrived on the stage in an auto rickshaw. The two stars in a way, aside from introducing themselves and their film, also introduced the new story of the strange family of Kapil.

Known for his flawless comic-timing, Ali Asgar portraying Dadi in the show, now has a double role. She has been struck by memory loss or dementia for excessive consumption of alcohol and hence is smarting from the affliction. Also Dadi is also set to play the role of Kapil alias Bittu’s ‘Choti Bua’. Actor Vishal Singh aka Jigar Modi, the actor from ‘Saath Nibhana Saathiya’ will be playing here Choti Bua’s boyfriend. Besides the extension in the casting, Bittu the lead of the pack, has now become a proud father and his wife Manju played by the cute television actress Sumona Chakravarti has become a working woman. That apart, the actress Upasana Singh who has been playing the role of Bittu’s Bua has been moved out of the Sharma residence on account of her having won a lottery. Kiku Sharda alias Palak is shown bearing a strange resemblance to Akshay Kumar in this episode

Sunil Grover alias Gutthi surprisingly in a new role, is playing the role of Manju’s mother. Sunil had before essayed the role of Manju’s father. It must be mentioned that Sunil Grover who played the character of Gutthi in the show Comedy nights with Kapil has bagged a role in the film ‘Gabbar is back’.

Directed by the South Indian Director Kris and produced by Sanjay Leela Bansali ‘Gabbar Is Back’ also stars Prakash Raj, Sonu Sood and Sunil Grover while Kareena Kapoor Khan and Chitrangda Singh with cameos. The film is set to release on May 1, 2015.
